zhiguli510
So I have this collection of locks and keys that I bought a few years back. Some of you might have seen, and had the pleasure of, sitting and trying to match keys to locks. I was in the process of trying to put together a few complete sets, (ign, both doors, trunk and gas door), when i ran into some barrels that only have three little grooves while others have four. this difference is in trunk, gas door and door locks. I would like to know if these changes are year/model specific. I have a 72 four door. The locks have all four grooves on all the locks. What do you have?? Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
Isn't that rad when you put the wrong key in and turn it, and it locks the key and won't let you turn it back out? Quote Link to comment

Just had that problem with an ignition switch. almost broke the key in there but got it out. Looked like a good fit at first. Quote Link to comment

I have two of the smaller ones, one has the same switch in the back(48750-E7705)as 510/Z with two screws the other small one has one that"s small with only one screw Again, any ideas?? Laecaon
Is it possible to flip the ignition around the column so it is on the right side? The steering column lock would probably stop working... Quote Link to comment

The steering column lock would probably stop working... on the 510, if you flip the switch, the steering column lock would stop working. Also, 510 and Z ign switches are the same, they are symmetrical and all you need to do is flip the little faceplate. Quote Link to comment
