1969 Datsun 521....new parts and LZ22

Recommended Posts

Hey guys looking to sell my 69 Datsun 521. Some of you know this truck from my project posts as well as posts from Datdoug. I picked this truck up from Datdoug with no motor and interior. Since I bought this truck I have replaced many parts and daily drive it. It is very reliable and runs good. Was originally a J series truck with 4 speed. New motor mounts and trans mount for LZ22 and 5 speed

The good....

Fresh LZ22- Rebuilt bottom end, Fresh rebuilt U67 open chamber (Tdajj can vouch this motor is new)

Compresion accross the board is excellent, Oil pressure is also good

New oem timing set

New Alternator

New plugs cap and rotor

New water pump and belt

Matchbox dizzy

Clean excellent condition gas tank

New brakes, wheel cylinders, master cylinder and soft lines

New clutch, pilot and throw out bearing

8" Chevy Ralley rims with stretched 195/55/15 tires

Mint conditon bench seat

Carpet kit

All lights and controls work

Weber 32/36 with bigger jets

Extra early model L16 manifold and downpipe (not installed)

Rewrapped dash

3" lowering blocks

5 speed trans

3.8 gears from 720

excellent condition fuse box and wiring

engine comp complete

cut and welded extended shock mounts

new front shock inserts

Autometer volt, oil, and water gauge

Mini tach on column

2 piece driveline

Truck is pretty quick....toss a 38/38 or side drafts on it and it would rip

Fires right up

Idles perfect once warmed up

Excellent mint condition heater box that works great

Red LED glowing speedo..Alpine cd player

The bad:

Truck tracks ruts with wide tires

Needs new glass seals

odometer doesnt work

Quarter size rust hole in driverside floor (I can patch it up if interested)

Body has outdents in bed

Truck is in its second patina :( Still looks cool

Infamous light oil mist from LZ timing cover

PO before Datdoug removed helper spring, so axle wraps a little when getting on it-

I have a full set 720 leaf springs to put on I will give you

PO cut dash for a cd player to fit

This truck looks good and drives better. Very fun truck. Ask Datdoug , he is a Ratsun member that has seen the truck in person since I have done all this work

Asking 1500 obo, shoot me a email @ srsands78@hotmail.com or text or call 253-318-8787 if you want to come see it

Thanks Shawn Sands
