vegas810 Posted January 13, 2011 Report Share Posted January 13, 2011 Hello again from Las Vegas, after some tinkering around with my wagon, Ive discovered that I need to replace the shocks and struts, the rear ones are no problem i can find them at Autozone or pepboys, but the front ones I cant seem to find anywhere.... I figured out that I better ask the experts here instead of looking like a total dumbass at the autoparts store hehe, what can I get thats compatible? or that fits? I got to change the strut mounts just to be safe they look a bit old and unsafe. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike Posted January 13, 2011 Report Share Posted January 13, 2011 The strut tubes and springs stay, just replace the removable cartridge inside. Pt. # 56105 S3025 about $70 a pair at dealer if they still have them. Quote Link to comment

I was looking to purchase an 810 Wagon about 6 months ago and could not find the front strut cartridges either. NissanParts.cc lists them at $72.65 each but it's an infamous yellow dot item which almost certainly means they are NLA. If you can gather some detailed information on your current cartidges here is a link to Monroe (Page 17) where you might be able to locate suitable replacements and adjust them with washers as necessary. I went to the junkyard and score!!!! lots of little things for my wagoon, going back after i get paid to take off the suspension parts i think i need, some parts on mine are in worse state of wear than the one at the yard. Thanx for the tip man. so far i got 2 datsun 810 decals for the rear sides, the grill trim well the one with the D in the red, and windshield trim. tho the windshield trim wasnt complete it puts me pretty close, im only missing one corner on the right hand bottom corner. anyway i will let u all kno when i get more stuff!!! :D :D :D :D :D Quote Link to comment
