For best results KCs should go on a 720 kc and reg cabs on 720 reg cab trucks but yeah they fit. 720 4X4 frams are the same a 2wd BUT!!! the body and box mounts are higher, torsion mounts slightly different, has a trans case mount and no place to mount a center bearing and the front end has 4x4 diff mountings. Later 720 4X4s are even more different in the front LCAs.

You would likely find it easier to swap over to the 720 steering column than try to make the one piece column and steering box fit. For this you would have to swap all the 620 steering components too. Yeah make the 720 column fit.

Ha ha I know.

For the record I put my '78 KC cab and flatbed on an '82 720 2wd long bed frame. (KC and long beds are the same length frames. The only difference is the two front box mounts are different depending if its a KC or reg cab long box) For use with a longer king cab and shorter box, I moved the two front box mounts back about 11? inches. The front suspension on the '80-'82 720 is pretty much the same as the disc brake 620s.
