Alternator Wire?

it never was going there! id ghetto rig it if i had to. although someone already did. ill post a pic of the wiring mess that is this car. i have no idea whats factory, whats not, and half of the things arent plugged into anything. its pretty bad. who knew that in 78 with a manual tranny there was a wired in remote for cruise control that doesnt work but is all there? *rolls eyes*

no matter how much you work on cars theres always something to make you feel unfit to ever touch one again. spinning a fuse? come onnnn

while were all here, instead of starting a new thread, can anyone tell me about the circled piece here - it had emissions stuff on it, and is still connected to a few things. all the emissions stuff on the intake mani and such are gone now. im wondering if it shouldnt be though anymore since all the other emissions stuff is removed, and there are open caps on it. what should i do with it?
