datsun 510 key+ignition troubles!!

the key you use to open the door is the key used for the ignition right? because the key goes in the ignition but its hard to turn. help?

normally yes, unless someone has swapped out the ignition at one point, 1 out of 5 datsun keys will open your car and turn it on..

 

Anyways, try wiggling it around a little bit, put the key all the way in, then slightly pull it out a little and try. If anything else, take it to a locksmith and have them make you a new key to it?
