1. Remove wheels

2. Jack up car

3. Compress the springs with spring compressors

4. Break the rod ends loose from steering knuckles

5. Unbolt the struts (three top nuts, and two bottom bolts) and remove struts

6. Unbolt tension rod ends from the lower control arms

7. Hoist engine from above (only enough to remove weight from the crossmember)

8. Remove the engine mounts

9. Undo the four bolts holding in the crossmeber and drop it down

Then you can remove the oil pan. The only tricky part is loosening the timing chain cover a bit to free the pan at the front.

Unlike all other A-series engines, B210 with A14 has a mid-sump oil pan.

i was hoping i wouldnt have to undo the crossmember. i want to give it a nice cleaning but my main goal is to change the gasket, if i were to undo the motor mounts and lift it slightly would that give me enough clearance to clean up the rim and maybe slip the gasket into place?
