510 Bumper Gap

Hhmmmm. I took a quick glance the other day and don't recall seeing any mounting holes missing bolts. I'll have to double check in a bit. Maybe the gap is for an intercooler? Yeah , that's it.

Maybe its at a funny angle? Another thought, maybe it was modified to be towed behind a motor home at some point. It's a pretty simple thing, 2 bolts in the bumper bracket, and 2 in the body. If there is anything else, its been messed with.

I'm going to take a close look when I get off work. I'll check my other cars as well. Maybe a bracket or something Is different.

Datto510 , you called it. looks like it is at an angle(bent down).

 

If you look at H2theizzo's pic(thanks for the pics H) His bumper sits right below his parking lights. Mine sits well below the lights. Bent bumper brackets I think. Or need to be adjusted.

Nah, I think the bottom of the bumper has a different shape. The brackets are either bent or need adjustment. I'll know for sure tomorrow

Change the bumper & brackets, the car must have been hit in the front at some point, and the bumper was repaired..I had same problem with a 510 bumper once..i changed it and it was fine.. :D
