This adjuster is designed to replace the slotted top alternator adjustment bracket on Datsun L series 4 & 6 cylinder engines. These brackets often crack or completely fails. It has an adjustment range from 5.5" to 7" and will also fit other applications using 8mm (or 5/16") mounting hardware. The Adjuster has both right and left hand rod ends that fit the original 8mm size mounting bolts. The rod ends are connected with an aluminum hex center section. Just loosen the jamb nuts and turn the hex center section to adjust belt tension. No more fighting with levers to hold the alternator in place while trying to tighten the adjustment bolt. Similar adjusters are selling on EBay for close to $60. FutoFab has priced their adjuster more than 50% below that at $28.50 / each with a flat fee shipping costs of $4.95 (for individual orders of up to 5 struts its the same shipping fee).
