datzenmike
This may be wrong, I'll check when I get home. *Main bearing journal diameter – 54.942 to 54.955mm* ....not that it matters much. If new bearings are ordered the correct ones always come in the box. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Yeah that main bearing or crank main bearing journal size is incorrect. 54.9mm is for the 5 bolt L16/18 cranks. All 6 bolt that I have measured L20B, Z20/22/24 are 2.3599"-2.3600" This is a mistake that even Nissan has not corrected in some of their FSMs. Haynes and Chiltons just copies the mistake. zed
Just checked my Haynes - I copied it right... It gives the L20 spec as 54.942 to 54.955mm / 2.1631 to 2.1636inches Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
They're wrong. Hell I have an '84 FSM for the 720 that shows the mains at 54.942- 54.955 OR 2.1631"- 2.1636" I have measured 2-3 L20Bs, 2 Z20s, 2 Z22s and at least one Z24 and all were around 2.360" or about 60mm approx.
