New here looking to rebuild my carb, but i don't know what model it is there's no markings on the body of what the model is. It looks alot like a DAH-328 but i am very uncertain since i thought that those only came on L18 engines...

So i thought id throw it up to see you you pros can tell by eyeballing it.ALso anyone know of a good spot online to buy a rebuild kit?

Its out of a 5/72 Goon

Thanks !

Welcome to the Ratsun Show

Hitachi ? IDK honestly , but datzenmike on here should be able to ID this sucker for ya real quick , my knowledge goes towards more of the s30 to be honest :D Check throttle shaft bushings before considering anything else as a general rule of thumb ( I got tired of fighting worn bushings/shafts on my dual SU's on my Z car set-up so I replace with a 4bbl Holley carb with known good tight bushings before rebuild and not looking back at this point ;) :D )

Also again my knowledge is limited on this carb , but consider buying new choke pieces ( if available/cheap ) if they are not working , this stuff as you know comes seperate of a rebuild kit.

You might consider getting a weber carb to replace that badboy , but someone that has done so might chime in ? What kind of motor (L16,L18,L20) engine did it come off of ?

thanks for the reply! the motor i believe is a L16 but is there a ID stamp on the block somewhere?

Your Welcome :)

Yes there is :D ---> Looking at the passenger side with the hood popped , at the top edge towards the back edge of the head/block ( towards the firewall ) where head/block mating surface meet there will be a "Flat Edged Surface" a few inches from the back of the engine , clean it off with some solvent/rag , and it should be stamped either ---> L16,L18,L20 <---
