I used paint striper, it’s called Motospray quick strip and I used wire brushes.

if you want more of that stuff, but better, and $35 or so for a 4L tin... theres a place off kororoit creek rd that sells the stuff called advance chemicals

cool...thanks. I was wondering if it was strip it type discs or wire wheel because of the texture.....came out nice! :) I've still got a lot of stripping to do on my Mend project.

update

the right door i am not going to use because i have a spare door that i am going to use but still have to sand it and spray.

the marks on the hood are just from dust

still need to body fill in some dents

Now I have sprayed the engine bay and in side of the cab ill get some photo up soon and now I am waiting for the KBS to get deliverd so i can spray the chassis. So far it’s coming along really nice but I have one problem that I cannot find any window/door seals . I have tryed a couple of places but no where seems to have any seels does anyone know where I can get some besides eBay.

For the seals try Scotts Old Auto Rubber, based in Oakleigh, Melbourne. He has a lot of gear for older Japanese models

Hi all, this is my first post and I apologize beforehand if I am posting in th wrong place. I have a 1970 Datsun U521 and wanted to share a few photos with the group.

I l have a couple more Datsuns in the garage awaiting restoration, but this is my first effort. I also am working on a 109 Land Rover and my DD is a 1977 FJ40. I am a retired US Army Aviator and live in Costa Rica
