dash removal 521

Im new to the Ratsun community and was wondering if anyone out there knows the best way to remove the upper dash on a '69 521. Mine is cracked very badly and i need to replace it! Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

If it's anything like my 210 or the RX7 I worked on, there's screws on the bottom side on the front and back side that hold it to the frame.

To remove the upper cap it's easier if the entire dash out of the truck.

2 bolts on each side. 4 bolts under the windshield. leave the wires and switches and cluster in. lower the steering wheel and unplug the 2 wire harness plugs under the glove box. undo speedo cable. done. maybe unplug radio antenna and pay attention to all after market add ons and where the wires may go through the fire wall. unhook manual choke if there.

If you haven't already found out, you can get a 520 dash which is all metal and put it in the 521. But you need the defrost vents from the 520 too as they are specific.
