PL521 Park Brake Cables

Does anyone know where to get new park brake cables for a 521?

 

On both my trucks the rear cables are broke (one 1 truck), or seized (the 2nd truck).

 

The front cables are ok, it's the rears on both sides that are messed up.

 

Let me know how you guys are dealing with these issues.

I know this is old....

 

You can look up the factory part number in the 800 page parts manual on www.olddatsuns.com ...you'll find it on the tech page. You can call the dealer with that number or check on nissanparts.cc

 

Another option....and what I did for my NL... I got some small cable clams(look like mini muffler clamps) from Home Depot and spliced in cables from a hardbody. I think I had to strip the teflon coating off the cable itself to get it to fit in the stock housing. I used 2 or 3 clamps to connect the cables. You have to cut off the end away that points toward the engine so that you can get the cable itself out of the housing.
