chris67
Help datsun gods!!!!! It looks like I am getting another 521 and all the parts to finish my daughter 67 520 and since this one will be mine it has too be bagged. I know how too do the rear (bridge kit and a 4 link) but I hear there is zero room in the front for a standard bag kit. If this is true what is it going to take to get it done? I am looking to run 18"s. Quote Link to comment
Pacific coast Datsun
Youll want to run either a set of Slam bags re-5's or Conitech's. The firestone 2500 & 2600's are too wide & will rub the kingpin upon inflation. Not to mention the frame would have to be sectioned to run the firestones. Quote Link to comment
chris67
cool thanks for the input will a standard torsion bar bag kit work in the front? Quote Link to comment

kezark31
on mine i swaped on 78 620 disc brakes lowers and uppers that killed two birds with one stone. got disc brakes and ball joints plus more room for slam 6 up front. i used a torsion bar kit. for the rear i z'ed the rear clip and body droped the bed. teddatsun
my 521 has a cantilever front end which allows for 9" of travel. the rear has a triangulated 4 link allowing 9" travel too. lots of fabricating though. Quote Link to comment
hacked521
honestly its almost easier just throwing a different front clip on it and bagging it from there because there is no room. after i got done bagging my 521, i didnt like how you have to notch the frame so much. you could allways do a cantilever setup so you dont have to notch anything, just a lot of fab work.
