195sRFast
My son and I have put a second engine in our 521. When firing it up, water was leaking from behind either the intake or the exhaust manifolds. The bolts are tightened correctly and we did install a new ezhaust gasket. Any ideas where the water is coming from? Thanks Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
most likely thats where its comming from. Loose intake exhaust bolts thus water leaking out the water passage holes I assume you have the thick washer that bolts the intake and exhaust manifold at the same pressure. herculesinwyoming
maybe the bolt holes need cleaned out, sometimes old rust and gunk make the bolt feel tight but it prevents the bolt from clamping down tight, i once had a head on a chevy 350 leak because of a tiny speck of rust in one of the dowel pin holes, (i know totally different engine, but i learned my lesson, make sure everything is clean Quote Link to comment
