tonalteco
I have a 1967 truck and wish to know if some one could give me ideas about how to modify or install a gastank which no longer has the original bracket on it. i swapped the bed and lost the brackets for the gas tank. mormally is supprted to the bed but wonder if i can use the set up from a different truck or different year. Also, would the main fillin hose work is i buy or get it from a earlier truck? Last thing....Does some one know where to buy the gas line that goes from the tank to the carby? Is it something pretty standard or has to be specialize line? thanks so much and pardon my ignorance tonalteco Quote Link to comment
DanielC
I believe on a 1967 truck (520) the body parts are all measured in inches, they are not metric. Brake lines on my 1947 Willys jeep use the same flare nuts as my 1971 PL 521. I replaced the fuel hose just with 1/4 inch new rubber hose. the gas fill you will have to look a little more to find, but there is probably something domestic that you could adapt.
