Matchbox Dizzy

Hi Guys,

So I have been reading a few threads and I am bit confused now.

I want to throw out my points dizzy and put in a matchbox I got.

Can anyone point me to a step by step guide on how to do this?

I have never done it and I want to do it right in cluding the wiring.

I do not have a Blaster coil so I would have to use my ballast resistor.

Thanks.

YOull have to get some wire if the matchbox dont have wires hooked up.

Best to get red for the B

black for the C

B of matchbox goes to the blk/wht wire that goes to the ballast resisitor.Buy a jumper connector.

C of Matchbox goes to - side of coil.

no need to cut the stock wireing. just get jumpers from the store that use the male and female blade connctors.

you have to pull out the old points wire going to the coil but remember the blk/blu and the blk/grn stay where they are at.!!!!!!

Hopefully your Matchbox comes as a complete set with the timming plate and mount.

Put motor at TDC install the dizzy and where your rotor points(locks down) will be #1 or very close to it enought to dial it in with the timming plate.
