Before I start, I know there are how-to's etc. atleast for switching the alt w/ the stock motor. The first time I hooked it up I didnt do it right. Is the below configuration right? I have both diagrams if someone that is kind enough needs them...

Batt + on ALT to Batt + , spliced in is Batt connector for 73 620 harness (to inside cab black wire) Also spliced in is the white wire from the ka24e alt connector.

- alt to - batt.

ka24e yellow connector wire to w/r 620 (lamp) and spliced into w/l (ignition switched)

I dont have the heater relay or regulator.

I just want to make sure this is right before I finish off the wiring. Last time i did the alt wiring (wrong way), the alt stayed on without the key on and killed the batt.

I thought the old 620s is like the 510

blk/wht short with red/wht

yellow short with white.

this is at the old volt reg

use jumpers(w male blade connectors) at the engine harnes where the volt reg plugged into or use the old volt reg ,cut the volt reg off and jumperthose wires and plug it back in the harnnes.

keep it stock ,DONT CUT ANY WIRES OR HARNESS. In case you want to go back

soembody has a drawing of this. should have saved it,its been posted 100times.

I dont know what a KA alternator has but if still use the T connector that plugs in If not ge the new connector that goes in the alt and use a splice to plug in the old T connecto incase you want to go back to stock

thanks hainz. I have seen those diagrams. And my harness is alot different than stock now so just making jumpers isnt gonna work. I removed all the wiring that wasnt needed, and cleaned up the harness, and increased the sizes on some of the wires that needed it.
