Sir Kelbus
I am looking at buying a 1978 Datsun 200sx and I have a couple of questions. What kind of MPG should I expect to get, and is this a reliable car for daily driving that wont take a lot of tuning? Thanks - KB Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
You don't see a lot of them around any more. Like the A10 it was an excellent parts car so they were often stripped for their 5 speed, rear disc brakes, L20B motor and EI distributors rather than fixing them up. As for the body styling, it's an acquired taste. I would imagine mileage with the standard would be +- 30 and 25 with the auto. It's hard to give a difinitive answer as there are so many variables and driving styles. Quote Link to comment
Skib
since theres not a real definitive answer like mike said, the general is yes, they get good milage and yes they are reliable if you maintain them Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Ha re-read the OP and now see that you have probably already found one and not looking for one. So yeah lots of info here for getting and keeping it running. And because there aren't a lot of 200sx owners here post up a few good pictures of it. Quote Link to comment
