620 grill

for you guys that have painted your grills, would you do it again? you know chipping, etc..

also, where can i find 2 headlight bezels (rims) ? thanks

i would paint a 620 grill any time....painted mine a year and a half ago and still looks great.. :D

I did like 5 coats black and 3 clear with a spray can. its only been a couple months but i love it and it looks good. just take your time do it right dont rush it. and let it dry

That place is ridiculously expensive. 84 fricken dollars for the headlight rings? I'd rather spend 4 and make my own, or find another grille locally.

I agree. But try finding some in a junk yard. It's tough. The Datsun ones are unique. You could probably take a couple off a Ford or Chevy, carefully pry off the tabs, and re-weld them in the right places. But what a pain in the butt.

yeah, that place has really high prices. thanks for all the replies, but my bad, i actually meant the rims around the grill headlight openings. i don't know what they're called.

why would it chip? prep the surface correctly and use a paint with some give to it and it should never chip, correct me if i am wron but arent they factory painted? i know there is some sort of grey coating on them
