ratrod63
Does anyone know the correct part number or where to get the outer rear wheel seals for a 70 521 pickup? I took my axles to the local machine shop to get new bearings and seals installed. I purchased outer seals from the local auto parts. They sold me timken p/n 1974. These seale are to big on the I.D. They fit way too loose. I did a search and found a couple people with the same problem but I could not find a answer. Please let me know if yall have any info on this. Thanks Quote Link to comment
MannyWSPD161
It should be part #40227-32201, that is described as seal-grease, rear axle bearing. Let me know if that isn't it. Quote Link to comment

banzai510(hainz)
do a outer seal youll need to press the bearing off. thats alot of work. I though of dodin mine also then said, Fuck it as it was leaking oil from the diff on to the brakes. I changed the inner seal that goes on the axle and all was good. Nap has these gaskets also. most are made in Taiwain ,Korea. best to fine one that has 2 lips. As I seen 1 lip ones Quote Link to comment
