Hey crip i love your car! i have a 77 b210 plus, which is like a GX. Meaning i have the dogleg 5-speed. i still dont really know what the auto GX is all about. Take detailed pics during the swap, i could use the info if i ever swap mine.

you can do the KA swap, and keep it legal, just get the ECM and all the smog. put it in that way.

 

then it will have to go to the smog ref. and it can be approved, it will then go through the smog inspection in that configuration.

 

lots of work up front and a little more hassle now, but much less PITA down the road.

 

or.... you can start with a 74 B210 and avoid the inspection, unless CA starts inspecting the pre 74's again... then, back to square one.

 

if your set on the KA, do it the right way.
