Electrical Fuel Pump problem

Recommended Posts

Hi

so im driving along the other day and several unfortunate things happen to me...

it starts with my negative battery cable popping off... which while it was arcing on the terminal managed to finally kill my failing autochoke relay. which in turn fried my electric fuel pump to the best of my knowledge at this point...

ive replaced the relay and the fuel pump but for some reason im not getting any power to the pump itself.. ive looked in the chilton electrical diagram and cant seem to find the electrical lines that lead to the electric fuel pump or that one even exists according to chilton manual.

is there a fuse somewhere inline from the relay to the pump or something else that i need to look at replacing or testing??

also ive checked the forum threads here and have found anything similar that relates to my issue.

sorry

still new to the whole writing on forums

my truck is a 1982 720 4x4 frame with a 1984 Z24 engine place in it. manual transmission 5spd.
