Epic
so last nite on my way to a friends my running lights stoped working. everything worked fine till i started back up to get off the ferry. turned my lights on an only the head lights and blinkers worked. no power to the dash at all. pulled over and then the blinkers stoped working. so all i have now are hazards and headlights. but when i lock and unlock the car with my remote, all the driving lights blink. i think its the colum switch. can anyone conferm that? and if so, can the switch be fixed? datsunaholic
"When I unlock the car with my remote". That's the first thing to check. Make sure the wiring through the remote system/alarm is working, because add-on alarm systems that "blink" the lights are commonly the root of problems. That or the running light fuse is blown, though that wouldn't effect the blinkers. The column switch wouldhave nothing to do with the running lights as they aren't fed through there. Just through the headlight switch on the dash. Unless of course you have some jumbled new light switch setup and wiring, then all bets are off. Quote Link to comment
pl521sss
Check the wire from the alarm that sends power to the running lights to flash. Or your headlight switch is faulty. Here's that one wire behind the instrument cluster. I tapped to it and added that one wire going to the alarm. Alarm sends power and makes the running lights flash when you armdisarm. Hope this helps Quote Link to comment
