works510
Hey, Ive got abit of a problem, the mounts in the cab that join the cab to the frame/chassis are finished, 1 has rusted through, the other 3 are on their way out. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what did you do to fix it? At the same time, would it be possibly to do a body drop? Ive had a quick look under there. looks like the floor also needs a recess section so the frame doesnt hit the cab. Any thoughts and idea's would be awesome Thanks, Dan Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
Ones that AREN'T rusted out are getting harder to find. I've retired my '76 KC for a somewhat less rusty '76 KC. My 4X4, it has aluminum siding for floors. Of course, a cab with rusted out floors makes a great candidate for a body drop, as the floors are gonna have to be cut out anyway. Never understood guys who cut up the clean ones when there's so many rusty ones to drop... Quote Link to comment
moparvwfreak
thats why i retired my KC. the floors were done for. as for my 73, the drivers floor is almost done along with the cab mount on that side. so needless to say i have to do at least the front section of hte drivers floor on mine as well.
