OpelWagenGT
So I am planning on buying weld on coilover sleeves from Ground Control and I want to know if anyone has done this mod to a stock 1200 strut without shortening it. I have read the thread about strut mods already but I want to know specifically if anyone has done this. Also I don't want to blow the shocks so I am wondering what stiffness of springs I should get I don't care if it rides rough also. http://www.ground-control-store.com/products/description.php/II=61 this is what I would be getting Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Yes lot of 1200 owners have bought the ground control. It works OK, adequate quality. You can leave it at stock height. You probably won't be able to find stock strength springs in the 2.25 in diameter size. Stock is 91 lb/in. The coilovers generally start at 175 lb/in Quote Link to comment
Pedro
Are those sleeves metal or aluminum? Quote Link to comment
CypeSess73
yes. coilover sleeves are cheap and mainly for looks full coilover set ups include the shock portion and usually but not always dampner adjustable and height adjustable. these are what you want if youre all about getting that perfect set up.
