Turn Signal Relay?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone. This is my first post so I'll do my best. I did a search of the forum to see if someone covered this previously but didn't find anything. I'm new to the datsun world, in fact I am the owner of a 77 620 king cab as of this afternoon! Some questions about the truck. The turn signals do not work. Neither do the signal indicators on the dash. I changed out a questionable fuse but the fuse box cover is missing so I don't know what fuse affects what. I also found that the brake lights do not work. I don't where to start. It came with an old shop manual but it's vague at best on this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. [P.S. all the other lights seem to work fine including the hazard flashers.]

Thanks, Jeremy

Turn signal doesn't use a relay. It has a flasher unit, similar or same as the hazard flasher. You can swap the two flashers, and if hazard stops working a T/S start working you can bet it is a bad flasher unit.

Check all the fuses with a voltmeter. Especially the top right and bottom right fuse, that's the park and tail lights.
