Want of Method
Hi everyone. This is my first post so I'll do my best. I did a search of the forum to see if someone covered this previously but didn't find anything. I'm new to the datsun world, in fact I am the owner of a 77 620 king cab as of this afternoon! Some questions about the truck. The turn signals do not work. Neither do the signal indicators on the dash. I changed out a questionable fuse but the fuse box cover is missing so I don't know what fuse affects what. I also found that the brake lights do not work. I don't where to start. It came with an old shop manual but it's vague at best on this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. [P.S. all the other lights seem to work fine including the hazard flashers.] Thanks, Jeremy Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Turn signal doesn't use a relay. It has a flasher unit, similar or same as the hazard flasher. You can swap the two flashers, and if hazard stops working a T/S start working you can bet it is a bad flasher unit. Check all the fuses with a voltmeter. Especially the top right and bottom right fuse, that's the park and tail lights. Edited August 6, 2009 by ggzilla Quote Link to comment
Want of Method
Well...I figured everything out. I took a voltmeter to all the wires and found several unplugged and loose connections. Thanks for the help. Jeremy Quote Link to comment
nukeday
Glad you got it sorted out. Here is a really great site with a lot of 620 information... http://www.olddatsuns.com/index.htm Folks here love photos, when you get a chance post some of your truck. PS - A location (where are you?) in your profile can be really helpful for the rest of us.
