nukeday
I know this has been beat to death, I've looked over several threads here. The matchbox upgrade has been posted and posted, with lots of links to all sorts of installations. Also, the older two-wire (R & G) dizzy using a GM HEI ignitor. What I haven't found, perhaps because it's uncommon, is a retrofit using the OEM ignition box and the two-wire dizzy. I haven't installed this yet, but I'd like input on the accuracy of these drawings from anyone who's installed this setup. Here is a line drawing I did after tracing out the circuit diagram from a 1976 620 pickup. From the620 site. Here is an excerpt from my printed and colored wiring diagrm. It looks like the B wire shown coming from the distributor goes to the minus side of the coil. This is the purple line in the drawing. Comments, or corrections appreciated. Quote Link to comment

nukeday
That is exactly what I needed, thanks Hainz. Your drawing shows this connected properly without the ballast. I need to rework my drawing for the Blue wire... Thank you! Edited July 25, 2009 by nukeday Quote Link to comment
