So i picked this up on CL for $300. It needs some major work, but from my prior life of rebuilding boats, this should be easy. Im not sure how im going to do it up, but ill figure it out soon.

Sadly i don't think a Datsun has enough gumption to pull it, or stop it. I did move it around the yard with the 210 though.

Nice project. Looks to be solid, too. The Scotties are a light trailer, and follow very well.

I pulled a 13' Serro Scotty from Wisconsin to Hosuton. Texas in 1971 with a 1970 Toyota Hilux pickup. 2000 cc/4 speed/ 4.10 rear. Added a brake controller for the trailer brakes. Drove down through Missouri and Arkansas, through the Ozarks. No problems whatsoever. Make sure your hitch is properly reinforced. Averaged 20 mpg for the trip. Could maintain 50 mph in third gear, so hills weren't too much of a problem. Was cruising at 80 mph for a few miles south of Texarkana, before good sense kicked back in.

An L20B/ 5 speed/ 4.37's should do fine. Front discs, a clean cooling system, and a trailer sway control system, and you should be good to go. As my dear departed daddy often said, "With the right gears, you can pull a freight train with a washing machine motor." The older Japanese small trucks were geared to work.

i was acaully going to trade my 620 for a pop-up camper. and then pull it behind a car since i also have kids, and a 2 seater truck{frontier} but then the other day i see a taurus wagon pulling a pop-camper and that thing was zigzaging all down the interstate. made me question my whole plan. anyone ever pulled a pop-up with a car? i have an altima and a buick regal{both fwd} to chose from. i have to get to disney world one way or another this summer!
