Gonzo_Neko
I've been trying to figure out what i would need to put an L20 into my 510 wagon. From what i've read before the L20 won't fit my stock L16 auto trany? Quote Link to comment
sssr20det510
the tranny should work (manual does) might need an auto flywheel for L20 and you need to use your oil pan and pick up tube off L16 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
If your 510 has a 3N71B auto then any 6 bolt 3N71B flex plate should fit your torque converter. The distance between converter mounting bolts should be 6.25" just to be sure. Six bolt flex plates can be found on any L20B equipped vehicle with automatic and also the 720 truck with Z22 up till '82. Z20E equipped 200sx '80-'81 (not the Z22 motor) In or around '82 Nissan introduced a locking torque converter and the flex plates are different shape. Quote Link to comment
