Mazda Rotary P/U

Recommended Posts

I might go look at a Rotary P/U that's on the

local (humboldt,Ca) craigslist.

Are these worth anything? I've always liked them,

ever since I saw a new one giong down the freeway -

didn't know what it was at the time.

They are sweet!!!! I have a friend who has one, he just got it from cali craigslist as well... Go to rx7club.com if you want to know anything about them, robert (RW-7) can fill you in on anything, he is a local rotary mechanic.

The Rotary P/U ( Repu ) is a nice truck, and yes, in good shape it commands money.

I would purchase one if the opportunity appeared. Go check it out, and do not feel astonished if somebody already bought it.

For the Portlanders, there's a '74 Rotary P/U in the Tigard LKQ that has a fuel injected 13B swap in it. Looks pretty rough, but the motor is pretty clean.

I own a 74 REPU,and have for the past 7 years. It is by far the coolest little pickup truck. I have recently been trying to sell it,but not too hard. I am at the point now where I just want to keep it. My two boys love it,and cry whenever I talk about getting rid of it. The problem is I was thinking of selling it because they can't both go out with me in it. I bought my current Datsun coupe to replace the REPU so we can go out as a family, but the boys really like the truck. They are very fun trucks, but rare(not so rare on your coast)and not the easiest to find parts for. Good luck, and I say buy it.

Edit: I just looked at the ad,and while it is rough looking I think it is salvagable, and if not you could make back your money pretty easy in parting it out. That Stella green is the same color of my truck.

I went & looked at it today.Asking $1500 for it.

Too much of a project for me (like I need any more!).

I always wanted to change the "P" on the tailgate

to an "M".It reads "Rotary Power" on the stock trucks.
