Jaybird
Does anyone know if you need the taper on a '65 320? I'm looking at lowering 3" and didn't know if the same applies for a 320 that applies for a 520. Quote Link to comment
13B521
the taper applies to anything using leaf springs, from these datsun trucks to chevy camaros. when you put drop blocks on you change the driveline geometry. companies such as belltech realized it and began angling their blocks to fix the problem. if you run flat blocks (which isnt a big deal) you run a bigger chance at your u-joints binding. realistically, it wont make much difference but if your drive shaft is old, flat blocks are likely to shorten your u-joints life span. with that said, im running flat blocks, lol. i usually buy angled blocks but found these locally so i just got them instead of waiting for a set to come in the mail as usual.
