I see the Log Style top mounts used frequently. I know you can buy a kit that you cut/weld the flange on to the log style wherever you want to. I'm sure there's a specific brand you can use so it won't hit the BMC, but I don't know it other than that.

This would be easiest and most durable route.

stg1sm.jpg for 179 if you can weld

or

stg2sm.jpg for 322 and take it to a place to have the flange welded on.

The JGS log manifolds are top mount. They aren't the "cool, hip, polished, tubular" manifolds, but they fit, which is important. The problem is that we have less room in our engine bay A) because of the steering box, B) because of LHD instead of RHD, and C) because the brake master cylinder is in a different place than the 240sx, among other things.

You'll have to do some reading to find if there are any people in the build threads that are using aftermarket tubular manifolds that clear with little-to-no modifications.

if you can weld, use the jgs one but you will only be saving a little money. for a little more money than the jgs manifold and is ready to bolt on use the mckinney motorsports manifold, it's designed for the 510 sr swap.

Check out the Isis manifold at enjukuracing.com It looks identical to my Forced Peformance manifold but at a third of the price.
