Madness
not sure if its going to help but the toyota rear end is approx the same size, not sure how close but if you can find an 85 and earlier it will be 3 in shorter overall than the 86 and up. They come stock with 4:10's but you can gear down really easy due to the 4x4 aftermarket along with lifetime replacement, break strength of 8,300 ft-lbs or torque, 120 deg. of twist, chromoly shafts for 250 bucks and whatever locker you want including a detroit for 500 bucks. I've seen some serious power and stress put on those mini truck axles up wheeling in 4 low low (that right low, low), hopping up a steep hill. You'd be surprised. I don't think the dude knows how to wheel but here's a good stress test video. Cheap fix now and possible bulletproof axle later. page 3 owned Edited April 16, 2009 by Madness Quote Link to comment
