My Trip - Northern California

Recommended Posts

I drove over to the Oroville,California area to look at

a car to replace the Wife's 2002 Mazda Protege.As I

headed East, there was snow (& ice).I hit a guardrail with

the right side of the car (already damaged),felt OK,so I kept driving.

When I was back in civilization,I checked for damage.I didn't do

hardly anything!

Anyway,I went to Redding,CA,down to Corning,where I spotted

a 610 wagon (accross the street from the Ford dealer.I didn't talk

to the owner, but it looks like it's been sitting for awhile.

I looked at a car near Oroville,California,& on the way back home,

I noticed a couple of 620s in people's yards.

If anyone's interested,I could check on these trucks,as we're

heading back on Saturday to buy a car for my Wife.

Sorry I missed your call when you came thru here. I was still at work. It's supposed to be good weather this Sat so you won't get snow this time. Corning Ford is a good place to buy, They always seem to have a lower price for the same or better cars as here in Redding. Red Bluff Ford is a must avoid. Too many problems with dealings for many I know.

Haubster,

Where's a good place to eat breakfast in

Marysville/Yuba City?I prefer the "neighborhood"

places over the chain ones. We'll be there Saturday.

Eric,I ended up not having a lot of time,& I had

to drop off some Cortina parts to a guy in Anderson.

I did find a car near Oroville,& we're going down

to pick it up on Saturday.

I also bought a car trailer,so maybe I can finally

get around to picking it up.
