spottedog
Do I use L20B timing chain guides on the Z24 block? (I wish I had taken notes when I put this thing together the first time!) :) Edited March 3, 2009 by datzenmike Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The Z24 block is 2cm taller than the L20B, presumably the guides are too. If you have them I would use them. Probably not the end of the world if L20B were used. Quote Link to comment

Actually, the L20b chain guides are longer than the Z24 guides! (The tension side guide is almost 2" longer than the Z24 guide) Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Well I presumed wrong. The Z cam sits lower than the L head cam and I think the head is thinner top to bottom so this does make sense. Quote Link to comment

But, any day we don't learn something new ain't much of a day. ;) Carquest has been real good about having any part on the counter the next morning, so I will bolt it up and see what it looks like.
