Could be your linkage is sticking.Happened to me.If you can,when it gets stuck idling high,just push the throttle with your hand and see if it idles down to your set point.If it does then your linkage is sticking,your nut there is too tight.Bend the washer that secure that nut and loosen nut a cunt hair and bend washer tab back.Here is the part that holds the nut secure.Also spray some WD-40 there.Never ever had a problem with my choke on my Weber.Change your gaskets yearly.Cheap and easy to do.Also spray some WD-40 on your high idle speed linkage.

  2. On my experience with stock carbs and Webers on my 85 4x4.I get around the same.18 to 19 mpg average.I go no faster than 70 cause out here they have speed checks everywhere.

  3. My Head lights quit working once and it was the fusible link.I think it was the  red one.It melted the  plastic on the yellow connector that is use to connect  both wires.All I did was replace the yellow connector.All my wires that connect to the fusible link that has male connectors all dry rotted so I replaced them with these.

I got my new replacement wheel cylinder today.The guy that put the order in was trying to charge me freight.This one is good,pistons both work.I went to the Nissan dealer and picked up a couple of brake secondary brake clips,just 4 bucks,they had this Nissan Z In the the show room with a stick shift.52,700 bucks,I would get the Nismo.They had 2 GTR's in there a time ago.Check this out.For a extra key,you have to pay 595 bucks.It says,you put 36 grand down and your payments will be 304 a month for 72 months.

Wish you live here in Georgia.You could show me a thing or two.I amstill waiting for my other brake cylinder from O'Reilly's.Maybe it will be here today.I got my 2 clips that hold the emergency secondary brake.Just in I ever need some.A little over 4 bucks for them.Got themlocal.Free shipping.I am.putting a rack and pinion on my wife's 2004 Lincoln LS.I got the part from RovAuto Parts.'.I havea great shop manuals that tell you the part number.Way be than Nissan's.3 big books.

Don't have time to do major work.I feel better getting it done right.I've had about 3 blown head gaskets in 30 years and they have done it right.Even had a Jasper engine installed by a Jasper installer back in 2009.Jasper only sells to installers.I have 106,000 miles on it.Check out my 39 year old truck.I am doing something right.
