  1. On the installment sleeve, I did have it on ;) I removed it for the picture because my camera wasn't focusing in macro mode with the light reflecting on the thin plastic. Also the steel washers are in place and never were removed. I rubbed plenty of lube around inside the seat and the seal, which is why I'm here. That didn't work which concerns me. I see what I did wrong with the socket now though, so it's a good thing I didn't apply much pressure. I don't feel like waiting for Rock Auto to ship another set of seals
  2. Hmmm, but this is simple. I mean, what could be wrong? I made measurements and they are completely identical to the ones that were on the head before.
  3. This is my new valve seal. Putting a socket on it only squishes out the rubber and pushes that little spring pressed inside the seal, out. Kinda don't wanna fuck that up. Turned an old valve seal upside down on it and used the socket to try and press but the more force I put on it, the more it deformed the rubber. I put assembly grease on the inside of the seal hoping it would slip down over, but to no avail.
  4. Arg the socket didn't work. Pics posted with why in a sec.
  5. Yeah I saw that some time ago and forgot it was there:( I'll try the socket idea Although, mine look a good bit smaller then yours.
  6. I'm having some trouble :( I got off my old valve seals and got the new ones in the mail today. The old ones were a PAIN IN THE ASS to get off in the first place, and now I can't get the new ones to slip on. Is there a trick to this that I'm just missing out on? Or some way to make it easier?
  7. I'm gonna try and make a little spacer. they are a little too short.
  8. Thats what I was thinking, but if I put them all to the front, theres almost no side view
  9. Did you check your blinker fluid?
  10. Subscribed! I'll be ordering when i have the money to spare.
  11. Raise you hand if you like woman with big boobs!
  12. Ahh common now! Haven't played that game since I was 10. lol
  13. I heard play sand was good to use, but never really worked for me. I picked up a 50LB bag of abrasive media from Tractor Supply for $8 and blasted the frame of my 73 Honda with it. Did it at about 90PSI on a 25LB compressor. Really heated the thing up though
  14. Oops, forgot about that one... Have to have the proper CFM for the gun that's being used as well.
  15. What you want is something rated for long and constant usage. The larger the better. ALSO you want something with a high CFM rating. Also remember that the higher PSI you run, the better it's going to blast.
  16. hey man, you do some sweeeeeetttt work!! Would you be able to weld in a cage in my car? Been lookin to have it done.
  17. LOL I'd totally open up a live webcam feed if it wasn't 1 in the morning and my parents were asleep. I got both types. although to be honest, they really don't seem bad at all. They're nice as fuck!
  18. Dropped out the valves in about 10 min and seperated each in sandwich bags, then spent 15 minuets cleaning the head and rocker assembly. I have secrets. Lapping the valves tomorrow morning before work Got the valve grinding compound sitting out waiting on me.
