  1. Well, after 7 months of work I finally got my S2000 motor running that I transplanted into a 72 Datsun 510 track car.

Took it to a local auto-cross event today for some sorting with great results. Actually drove it back onto the trailer to bring it home at the end of the day.

Car weighs in at 1,920 lbs which is about 900 lbs less then a stock S2000

Will be taking it to a track event the first week of June were it can stretch it's legs.

Thought some of you might enjoy some pictures.

  2. Well, I can't pass up a post about 710's

I've just finished restoring Vin # 000026 which has lived it's whole life on the track. Originally a school car for Bob Bondurant, when retired from school, the car was converted to a B sedan car in the Bay area and ran with SCCA for an undetermained amount of time.

Car was completely disassembled, media blasted and freshened from end to end. Currently running an L16 motor and dogleg tranny, a 2.2 motor and Z transmission is in the works.

  3. I bought it as a parts car as I am restoring a 710 race car Vin #000026 which started life in Bob Bondurants Driving School at Sears Point and has never been registered as a street car. Besides multiple brackets, hardware etc I have used hood, trunk lid, and am keeping front fenders.

I will check out clock. Willing to ship small items, if it's worth while.

    Steve
