  1. I'm getting close, but no cigar yet, here is the list of 620 parts I still need.

    1. I need the plastic dash insert, without the gauges, will even take a broken one. Got a broken one and repaired, but need one small tab that goes over heater control, if anyone has this piece, please let me know. I know there are lots of broken dashes out there, someone has to have the part I need.

    2. I need both front fenders, with no rust.

    3. I need a L20B timing cover.

    4. A factory Tach. Found Thanks!

    5. Air conditioner compressor mount and idler pulley assembly.

    Thanks for any help.

Please! Come on, No one has any of these parts that they don't need???? :poke:

  2. Bob, Just found this thread, you are a lucky guy, if I would have found that KC, it would have been in my shop instead of yours! LOL!

Now that the weather is getting better, we need to get that M&G going. As soon as the doctor OKs me to drive again I'd like to at least drive down to meet you and take a look at your toys. I've been home from the hospital for a week as of today, and I'm working on my KC doing little things as I can, I can't pickup more than 10lbs, can't bend over, or twist, so I'm not getting much done, but I'm finding enough to keep busy. Did you ever find out what the electrical problem was? I have a gremlin on mine now, Ignition switch works, but no power is making it to the relay, without bending or twisting it's hard to look for the cause.

I agree with the other guy, you should keep it in the family this time, either S15 or maybe 350Z? If you don't like any of the Nissan suspension options, at least use Nissan power.

    Later,

  3. No, I never read that. Pretty sweet if that particular transmission can hang with that much power :)

I think it will, I use Royal Purple in every thing and I don't abuse any thing I drive, so unless I have a senior moment when one of the local honduh boys is needing put in his place and power shift to 2nd, it will hold up fine. I learned a long time ago how much it costs to fix the damage driving like you stoll it, I have never had to replace any clutches or other drive train parts, but still have a lot of fun. By the way, that whole series of articles is available online, I found it through a link on the KA forum.

  4. I've got one, but I'm hoping to put them in my KC eventually, if I ever have the time and money. Did you see the final article from the mega buck KA build from Turbo magazine? They were shooting for 750hp at the wheels, but ended up with around 800. Man it's nice to have money, I just hope to have 300 to 350 when I have mine done.

  5. That looks just like the after market system that came in my 620, so I would imagine that it will also fit 620s also. Mine worked great, but unfortunetly I had to pull the compressor off to install the air pump so it would pass smog.

I'm hoping to find a factory style compressor mount, so I can mount mine on the other side so I will not have to switcheroo next time I need to pass smog. We used to be able to go to a collector plate when a vehicle was 25 years old. I found out they changed the law to 1975 or older last September, so Now I have to have the air pump on even though it had better numbers with out the pump. That is stupid in my opinion, but you can't win against BIG BROTHER, unless you have BIG MONEY. Oh well what are you going to do?

  7. I'm still waiting to hear from you about the dash insert? I don't need the gauges, just the plastic insert, If it is broken, I will still take it. Broken can be repaired, but my truck has nothing but a big hole, so please help if you can.

I also need 2 front fenders that are not full of rust, and yes I know shipping isn't cheap for them, but I need to get my other truck ready to sell so I'll have money for paint and body work on my KC.

    Thanks!

  8. Hi Tom, Just got feeling good enough to sit at the computer for more than 5 minutes. I ended up spending 15 days in the hospital instead of the estimated 3 to 5, long story, so I will not bore you. How are things going with the orders? I am at a point where not having all my glass seals is holding me up, so I kind of need an estimate on when they will be available, so I can plan what order I will be doing things. Also do you have the pieces of that dash insert that you broke while pulling it. The one that FedEx broke I was able to JB Weld back together, but I'm missing 1 small part. Since it has come out looking pretty good so far, if I can find a broken insert that has the part that I need I will be able to get my truck on the road, instead of spending more months trying to find one that is still in 1 piece. I saw in one of your posts you mentioned a guy that does overlays, can you tell me more? Too bad you don't have a body shop up here, after the storm we had last week, and the resulting carnage, the shops are running out of storage space for all the cars and trucks waiting to be fixed. Hope the dead beats are stepping up and paying for their seals, so all of us that have King Cab prodjects can move on.

    Later Bud!

  9. Get the lower rad hose to timing cover inlet from the 280zx, this will lift the hose and direct it more to the rear and above the larger alternator. I used the alt. to engine mount from a 720, maybe the 280zx will work too. It lowers the alternator about 1/2". for additional clearance.

    motoraltmountsZtopandL.jpg

I used a shorter belt and slipped it on the pulley before bolting the alternator to the mount. This was the only way to keep the alt. up close to the block and away from the idler arm. This also keeps the cooling fan blades on the alt. away from the rad hose.

    .

    Thanks Guys:D

  10. not sure what motor your runnin but Iv got one on my L16 in my 510, I just used the early L16 alt bracket (the welded one instead of cast) and its a tight squeeze in there but it fits

Mine is a L20B with the cast bracket. With the lower hose off it hits the outlet before you get to even the end of the adjustment slot, so something has to be changed for it to fit.:(

  11. Has anyone installed a 60 amp 280ZX alternator in a 620? I need to know how to get the water outlet, and lower radiator hose to clear. I hope someone can point me in the right direction.

Thanks guys for any help, tried a search and had no luck.

  12. I just found out that Ted (Tdaaj) is having serious medical problems, that is the reason some of us haven't gotten the parts we purchased from him yet. His wife, Bonnie (Blackdatto) sent a note explaining the situation, but no details, with one of the parts I've been waiting for. There were no details, but if any of you live close, maybe you could check on them, and see if they need any help. Hopefully he will be better soon, and back enjoying the Ratsun Life.:poke::thumbup:

  13. I just received one of my parts from Tdaaj (Ted), there was a note from his wife (Bonnie) saying he is dealing with serious health problems. I just wanted the other people waiting for parts from him that there is a good reason for his taking so long. We should all send notes wishing him a quick recovery now that we know one of our own is in need of our moral support, and those of you that live close could maybe stop in and see if you can help in any way.

  14. I have the following OEM new old stock Datsun parts for sale. From the part numbers, I believe they are all for the 720 pickup, but not positive. The information given is for reference only, please check your part numbers. I do not have a application guide, so can not be sure. This list is 40 parts for the 720, out of over 800 Datsun Nissan parts I have. Let me know if you need any further information or pictures. I am retiring and clearing out my storage. Thanks, Larry skip.h@verizon.net
