Thanks, now if I could only find the small piece for my gauge bezel, I could get the rest put together.:D

Sure wish I would have left the exhaust alone. That thing sounds like crap on video.
Get a Flowmaster Super 44, they have a deep tone and are great for performance. My Jeep had a high dollar Borla stainless exhaust system on it when I bought it, then I got rearended by some dumb flight attendant on the way to work. With the lift and big tires, the only thing that got damaged was the exhaust, it acordianed. I replaced it with a Dynomax tailpipe (mandrel bent) and Flowmaster Super 44, and my mileage went up 11/2 mpg, so very efficiant along with the great sound. I'm ordering one for my KC as soon as payday rolls around.

Great work Jason, How long til kits are available? I love your engineering, and want a similar setup for my 620, but I want to run air bags in the rear, so I can still use it to haul stuff and keep the same ride hight. I just ordered Addco bars, and today I installed KYB Gasadjusts, so next payday I will be ready for my rear disc brackets. Tell me about those front discs on that project you just did, they look like a big improvement over stock.

OK, I finally made some real progress on my truck, back is feeling a lot better. I installed the rebuilt dash, and heater. Cleaned and resealed all the ducts. I installed longer studs in the front hubs, machined them for the new wheels, repacked the wheel bearings, and installed new KYB Gas Adjust Shocks in the front. Last week I polished a Datsun L18 valve cover I picked up a while back. I will be installing it when I adjust the valves next time. Also I've been beating on the dents when I've been in the mood. Here are the latest photos of some of what I've got done.

OK I'm starting fresh since I've had no responses from the previous post. I'm looking for broken 620 Dash bezels or parts of them. Also I'm looking for a set of stock 620 hubcaps. Any help is very welcome.:)
Come on don't tell me no one has an old damaged dash bezel laying around? :(

I need a set of stock 620 hub caps in good condition. :D

I wonder if all the people that flaked on Tom realize how many other people they have screwed by not honoring their commitment. Not just Tom, but the company that tooled up for production, and all of us that stepped up and paid for ours in advance, and now our projects are on hold waiting for the flakes to do what is right. I bought a new headliner, plus windshield and rear window seals, and a new windshield. I already pulled my windows, and old headliner, straightened out my roof and all prepped for paint, but now I have to keep my truck inside till I get my seals so I can finish it. I'm sure I'm not the only one that is anxishly waiting for their seals so they can move on to other things that need to be done. So all you guys that said that they would buy the seals, honor your word, and send Tom the money for your seals, like you said you would. It is the right thing to do!:thumbup:

I do, but not ready yet time wise or money wise.

What I did was I found a think piece of plastic and cut it down and glued it on. Painted it to match and your done. You can even use f'n gum to hold it in place until you find the part yo u need. Then just remove...
I have made good progress, here is the updated list of what I need now.
1. Air conditioner compressor brackets and idler pulley.
2. Still wanting any broken 620 Dash Bezel pieces.
Thanks for any help.

Any of you guys that think it's too far are wimps! When I bought my KC, it had a bad carb (wouldn't idle & stumbled bad) and a leaky radiator. I nursed it from Phoenix to about 100 miles north of PPIR in 16 hours. people drive their $50,000 street rods and muscle cars from all over the US to go to weekend car shows. Just go to a NSRA of Good Guys event, and look at the plates from all over the US and Canada. A friend and I are planing to go to the back to the 50s show in Minneapolis this summer. They were built to drive, now drive 'em!

I will pay $5 to $10 plus actual shipping for broken 620 dash inserts (Bezels) without gauges. please send photo of what you have, and I will be in touch.
Thanks!

Please! Come on, No one has any of these parts that they don't need???? :poke:
Here are a couple of photos of the dash part I need.
They are a little blury because I have a hard time holding the camera steady between my week muscles and the pain meds, sorry but that is the best I can do right know. My back gets a little better each day, but it's baby steps, still a long way to go, before I can do all the work I need to on my KC.

I had rectangular head lights on my 79 that I bought new. No one was making kits at the time, so I got Chevy Monza buckets and bezels from the junk yard, then trimed the stock grill to fit and pained it Krylon satin black. it came out great. Unforunately I don't have any pics of the front of that truck after the mod was done, but it looked good enough that most people thought it was factory.

I'm back from the hospital, and finally able to do a little light work on my KC. I'm on a 10lb restriction so there isn't a lot I can do.
These are the Mazda 6 Coupe seats I installed just before I went to the hospital
This is what the dash looked like when I received it.
Sorry this is blurry, but the meds I'm on make it hard to hold the camera steady. This is the piece I'm missing to complete the dash, if anyone has a broken dash insert that still has this part, I would like to buy it so my dash will be complete.
This is what my Dash restoration looks now, just need that tab that goes over the heater control and it will look fairly good.
Later B)

Great engineering as usual Jason, If you do a weld on kit, I'm interested, but instead of coilovers, I would want to go with air bags and shocks. I'm just starting to be able to get around after my surgery, so as soon as I can lift more than 10lbs I will be sending you the money for the rear disk mounts. I hope you keep this one, It looks like it will be a real sweet ride when you are done.
-
That is called a grill guard, not a bumper, if you list it under the correct name, you might get better results.

Sh!t Buy a nice old Datto Truck with a L motor in it! Prolly grab it for under 1k and it will run FOREVER! and you will get 20+ MPG
What do you mean 20+MPG? My 76 gets 30mpg after I rejetted the Weber! I just wish I had it ready to sell, so I could help out. It will be a while since I can't do squat til I recover from my back surgery.:P

Here here, I agree whole heartedly, you guys making excuses in your heads why you can't do this now are making a big mistake. If you wait, you will be out of luck. If you remember from my posts a while back, I wasn't real happy about the price, but I realized that if I didn't pay now, I would not have the seals that I need, so I was one of the first to prepay. You guys had better step up now, or start making plans to weld up your KC windows to keep the weather out! :o
