  1. Sorry to hear that!  We need more 411s on the road.

that's why I'm selling it. I don't have the time to ever get to it. I have 2 67 SSS cars and a 64 410 as well as a ka swapped 510. hope someone steps up to build it.

  2. Reza. You selling your car after swap???

    probably not.

Sorry I meant are you already done with the swap from auto to manual and will you be documenting the process?

I don't think it will be difficult enough to warrant documenting, I'm very bad at taking pictures.  I am sure that the hardest part will be sourcing the 4 speed.

  3. Ali, i have been away for awhile. That thing is looking good baby

    Never sell it

Did you figure out transmission thing?

    Neely

Neely make time for 411s! I am doing much better financially. Do not plan to sell again! ...................... The transmission... sure I figured it out, figured I'd swap to manual transmission.

  4. Fire away!  I bought my 1967 RL411 new and am driving it to this day.  I am VERY familiar with the Pinin Farina design defects and what Datsun did to attempt to correct them.  Yokohama yes!  Milan no.

Its okay to cheat on your car with the sweet body lines of a 410.

  5. The 411 has been sitting in my garage since summer hit, mainly have been focused on cruising and appreciating my stout little 510. I recently swapped projects and am back on the 411. Lowering the front, perhaps too much, waiting on pinioned angled 3'' blocks.. I did pick up a factory Jeco accessory clock.

  6. Your 411 appears to be an early model with what I call the "Droopy drawers" rear fender line.  [Think a 2 year old with a load in his Doctor Dentons and you have the look]  Later versions "cleaned up" the rear fender [and in the sedan the trunk] lines to a neater non-Pinin Farina and cleaner looking appearance.  For example, the body creases on the rear quarter panels are much straighter and don't slump to the rear.

I know this is an old thread, but holy shit. I have to stick up for the 410 body style, I think it's obvious that the rear quarters and deck lid are complimentary to the 410. 411 looks so-so, but the 410 was the real deal.

  7. I know!! I read that dam I wish I had more space

This one is a steal at the price for the condition many of the parts are in, bumpers, panels, glass, lights. and is complete. I'd buy it but it is way too nice! I need a destroyed with no bringing back to life, parts car.

  8. Hey Reza you mentioned a future 2dr project in your future would that be on the black 411 and how much fabrication would be involved

Surprisingly......... That black Rl411 turned out to be a lot nicer than the pictures showed. Has solid floors, fenders, roof. Engine turned over after soaking the cylinders for a couple hours. Will put it on the back burner and collect parts for it, Only major thing it needs is a RH quarter panel.

As far as 2dr conversions go, I would buy a set of 2dr door shells from japan have them shipped. Next move the Door pillar back far enough for it to now mate with the attached "2dr" Door. then use the set of rear door skins to fill in the quarter area. Its pretty simple, finding the doors would be the tricky part.

Mike dropped the price to $900! go get it

  9. Are you selling it Reza?

no plans on selling anything, might hang on to, or do some trading down the road. The plates are pretty beat up. I usually just put stuff away then ask myself "why I have 13 Datsun 411 spare doors" ???
