  1. im planning on doing the 280zx strutswap on my 510, but have some specific questions, id appreciate any help here so please pm me with answers. thanks! i know the struts are a basic bolt up but what i need to know is: -will my brake lines thread into 280 calipers? -i plan on running a 79 280 master, what do I need for this or will it bolt straight up without vaccum assist? -will my stock hard lines at the master thread into the 280 master cylinder? I believe thats all please please help me out, i dnt like fadeing my brakes after 200 feet of hard stopping!:D
  2. a pic of me and my dime on the 3 1/2 hour drive to the drift event. exhaust fumes were finding their way into the car via the rear floor rust and choking us out. The fix? a piece of exhaust pipe taped to the a pillar! it worked... hahahaha:blink:[/img] nevermind the crazy eyes... the fumes got to me
  3. Boosted and LS1? thats alot of vroom power! im not a fan of v8 drifting, i think it takes some of the need for driving techniques out of it. How many huge feints and clutch kicks do you see v8 guys doin? None! hahaha but maybe im just jealous!:D
  4. it was fun but i would have felt much better in my tried and true e30 drifter. It was longer with more steering lock and less steering slop. yeah the datto is definatley not as predictable as say an S chassis but i think with a lil time it can certainly do the job. think ae86 front suspension and wheel base and e30 rear suspension, both of those cars are viable drifting platforms so a combination of the 2 should also be able to slide. money is the main thing holding me back from having a quite driftable DIME, not stopping me just slowing me down, it will happen!:D
  5. what is the offset of the wheels? i didnt see that mentioned. it'd help to know when making recomendations.
  6. got my baby new front tires and threw it on the alignment rack to try and straighten it out a bit. And made a run down one of my fav backroads... and oh yea dailyed it like every other day!:D

  8. Not that color anymore! hahaha been a while since i've been on so heres an update. I was already signed up for a drift event when i got this car so obviously i had to prep it for the event. had no seatbelts-harness bracket and sparcos e30 rad too big-temporary fix is an ae86 rad and furd taurus e-fan VW seats poorly installed-in went my NASCAR approved kirkey seat! :lol: open diff- POOR MAN's LSD (welded):fu: ETC The list is long and the week of prep was longer but the event was fun and quite a let down. 37 year old steering components werent havin it! got some cool pics tho.   9. i have the stock rear door cards/ door panels / interior panels whatever you wanna call em for a 2 door 510. they are in very good condition and black in color. missing one ash tray. I dont need them, car's getting a cage after i get rid of the rust, so limme knw if you need them. I dnt know how much to ask for them so i maybe $40?:confused: feel free to let me Know if thats too much and make offers. will try to post pics asap! Thanx

  11. I picked my datto up 4 days ago and spent 3/4 of that time making it run and drive as my new daily driver. I've wanted a dime since i was 10 so it's like a dream come true... nightmares are infact dreams LOL. She's got rust.:( but i am dedicated to bringing it back. [/img] [/img] btw the hood closes now. I had to put my spare e30 rad in it to drive it home!
