  1. As title states. I have a fresh rebuilt 0 miles l20b for sale. Its bored .75mm over on brand new l20b pistons. The crank was cut 10/10 and polished. The head was all done too. Valve job/seals etc. its a peanut w58. If you just want the motor ill sell it for $500 firm! I payed almost that much in machining. And if you want a complete swap ill throw in my set of mikuni 44phh duals resently rebuilt by rebello and a late zx tranny for $1200 obo. Ill post pix as soon as I figure this out. Im in the los angeles area. Pickup only.

    never mind

  2. So now that i've decided on l20b, and I had originally thought id go carbs, ive been wondering if EFI might be more or less interesting for the performance build.

Pros vs Cons of carbs vs efi?

I realize the sound and look give carbs an esthetic edge, but in terms of a daily driver with a few extra ponies, im wondering about the efficiency advantages either way? Anyone have ideas either way?

i want to go efi to.But doing some research showed me that it would be to expensive unless some one else got has got a cheaper idea.by the time you do the motor right and efi you can just swap out a newer sr20 or ka24 for about the same price.

  3. there you go keep putting money into it.Paint job check bigger motor check new wheels check and on and on and on and on.If you are true portuguese then you would be a really clean person and want that truck to look really good.lol

  4. Your truck is lookin good. Next time you go let me know and we can drive out together. Crown Town Style.

Well I came up empty on the raffle as always, But my Boy Dave saved the day and I got the badass air cleaner top.

    Thanks Dave.

    Thanks Juan.

sounds good.i worked so i did not get home untill 635pm.and then move cars around and what have you.

  5. i havent put my hood back on yet, but i have talked with .sunlover and he said its close but it clears. he is running a weber with the taller filter. i have the shorter filter, so it should be fine.

keep us posted please.i will be running side drafts but they where saying the valve cover hits the hood,so you would have to i guess notch the hood frame.

  6. Right on.I might be doing trueforgedwheels on my 521.check him out and if you go on the website you will see my trailblazer ss in the gallery section its the only red one.I got 20x8 and 20x10 on the rear and was thinking of doing a 15x4 and 15x7 or 8 on the rear.I want to go old school skinny s up front and a little wider in the back.I do have a 09 audi a4 sline [cabriolet] that i bought my wife if we keep it i will do some motor mods and of course wheels. And also i am in the mist of doing what your doing with my engine compartment.Looks good though.

  7. Love both the cars. Are those HRE's on the Audi? And i want to remove my battery tray to from my 521 and maybe mount in the bed. Also are you going to reroute the the fuel line behind the motor, that would look so much cleaner.

  8. Man, what a pain in the ass to find a 521 thats only moderately beat to crap. Found one, a 69 that already had a few mods done... but I found one. I dig it though, despite it being a bit small for my 6'2 210lbs build. Anyway, ive got some ideas... ideas many of the rat community have already done to their rides. In all, im certain ill have many more questions then those i've already posed. Anyway, having read many many posts by the time i had my own datsun, i have to say i dig the community... lots of helpful (albeit sarcastic!) rats :)

Ill be digging through the older posts on the 521's but if someone has something they think all 520/521 owners should read... please, suggest away!

    thanks!

Nice to see the 521's coming out of the wood work, best looking truck hands down. And small im not tall but i am 5-10 and weigh in at just a little under 300 lbs i need to hang my little arm out the door.Love your truck i like the motor the drop looks good.I get some pictures of my truck up on this site.I dont have a URL.
