Nothing big but today the truck came to life. I was at work as my wiring guy was doing all the electronics and started it up for the first time. I am so stoked. I'm embarrassed with some dumb exhaust leaks but shit it sat for awhile. Engine internals sounded good and good oil pressure and to me thats what counts the most, I will address the exhaust leaks. woo hoo

So that how the box looks inside the truck. Simple yet clean so inside is a 8" FOCAL sub and my new Status Alpine controller. Don't mind the wires actually tomorrow the truck will see power for the first time and possible start up or attempt to start. Long shot but keeping fingers crossed. Suppose to go back to my buddy's shop top get the intercooler piping and back half finished up by end of month as well. It is registered for JCCS why I have no idea.

What is a good deck, speaker, and subwoofer combo for the 75 620. I was thinking about building a custom box that’s inside of a tool box in the bed, cut 5 inch holes in the bed and cab for 4 inch vent tubes to go directly into the cab so all bass gets pushed right into the seats, I would use a silicone seal around the cone to seal the cab

It's your truck first of all, so people will tell you to not do this and not do that, so wanted to clear that up. As for space there is none unless you get creative. Now if it's a really stock truck in great condition don't cut the doors in my opinion. But if your looking for a good sound system and don't care cut them and mount away, Im running 3 ways in my doors and a single Focal 8" sub in a custom box in the center of my trans tunnel up against the fire wall. Amp is mounted between the seats on the extra metal on the back of cab.

Also you can have or make custom kick panel pods as well, as for subwoofer there lies the problem. Bass tube in the middle of bucket seats on floor, bu there is no room under or behind the seats at all, unless you mount in bed and tunnel into cab which I think is stupid but it works very well. If you don't take many passengers around build a slim box with a shallow 10" along the passenger floor board up against the firewall as well, but again if you take someone around then its uncomfortable but you booming.

I love the look. Similar to a speaker from the 80s.

Hey Ray, you're a stereo guy. There's a shop in the LA area that modifies old head units to up the amps, make them bluetooth compatible and add inputs/outputs to the back. I've seen him on ebay before but now I can't find the guy. Have you ever run across this guy?

No sir but we can find him.

Last piece of the interior to be completed. Wanted a subwoofer but since the cab is so small, I went with a 8" FOCAL that will go up against firewall on center hump along with the Alpine controller. I like this a lot and we made it as small as we could not take up so much space.

  8. On a serious note be nice, Nicole Johnson is YES my cousin. She was suppose to do my wagon but conflicting schedules so she hosted this Hawaiian guy down in San Diego. If you guys dont know her she made her fame as one of the best rock crawlers and was the Scooby Doo monster truck driver. She is a crazy Portagee.
