  1. Been slow going but getting a few little things done. Got my Z22 cranks and rods magnafluxed and they checked out. Order forged pistons from Ross Racing they will take a few weeks to make. I pulled out my a/c unit and sold it to pay for my fuel injectors and they should be in a few days. I also had to remove the a/c for the SDS ECU tray. I got the idea from qwick510 and pretty happy with the final result. I now have a good secure spot to mount the SDS and relay and easy access. Here is pic of my sons bike we just built for him. I think it looks like a rat rod. And current engine pic. Thats all the updates for now.
  2. I have a Dual Carb Cannon Intake for sale. $100.00 shipped to lower 48. Good condition.

  4. Its been slow going here lately. Doing some little prep work, post some pics later. Here is quick video of the goon warming up, got to take it out for quick drive before more snow hit.
  5. Good Topic. I wanted to replace my linkage setup with a cable but, didnt like how it felt. Going to give it another try now, that I am going FI. I found a couple of 240 pedal assm on ebay and some cables for cheap. I picked up the complete pedal assm for $30.00 and doesnt looks like it can go in pretty easy. BTW nice ride.
  6. The mikuni's are working great, super easy to install and tune. They can even be setup for blow through turbo. I'll post a video when weather clears up.
  7. I am planning on using the 280ZX turbo oil pump. Going to run the turbo oil line from the oil sending unit hole, have a T installed and braided stainless line from there to the turbo. I am keeping the HP conserative saying around 200-225, hoping to get 200hp.
  8. Starting to build L20B Turbo for my Goon. Here's how the goon sits now with current LZ22, SSS head, Dual Mikuni's. I was orginally going to do a blow through with Dellorto carb. That I picked up from boardster. Got talked out of that because of the posiablity of fireball. Still think it can be done. I was keeping my eye out for an exhaust manifold and happen to find this one on ebay, from Mcshagger. Had it ceramic coated. I also found the efi intake and head on here from crazytown. Its a slow process, this winter I have updated my fuel pump, put in 280zx elec. fuel pump and 3/8 supply and return lines. Alos FPR and which will have to be changed for turbo. I also put in Holley oil pressure switch for the elec. fuel pump. She back running but alot snow and cold here. I am having the L20B block bored to 87mm and deck O ringed,I picked up Z22 crank and rods. Going with forged pistions. Here is the ECU I am planning on using http://www.sdsefi.com/index.html Now I am working on getting the intake set for the sensor and throttle body and throttle cable. Also trying to work out the fuel rail Thats about it for now will keep you posted with any progress.
  9. Turbo coolant lines. I think the 85-89 had water cooled turbo on them and wanting to know where they hooked up to off the engnine and returned.
  10. I am trying to find out how the coolant lines for the 280ZX turbo hooked up. The coolant lines for the turbo only. If anyone has any pics it would really help out. I am not having much luck and dont have the 280zx manual to consult. thanks, mike
  11. Major project, looks like your making progress. What is the sensor on the end of the fuel rail? How will you do the return fuel line?

  15. I finally got round to lowering my rear, I went with the DQ article by adding a #2 leaf and flipping it. Very please with the stance and I was able to drop the front a little more. It firmed up the rear but not to much. Only pic I have for now.
  16. Ok I got the fuel pump mounted and wired up it working good once I got all the leaks fixed. I pull the tank and had a new pickup install and AN6 fitting for the return and I ran new 3/8 supply and return lines, for whenever I run FI or Boost. I have the fuel pump wired up through Holley Oil pressure switch, so it turns off if no oil pressure. Here is a couple of pics.

    WTF is this!

Thanks for the response Quick. I had just figured it out after I put my test light to the relay and it lite up the reverse lights. It not hooked up to the tranny so, not sure what to do with it? The other wires underneath the relay for the starter relay, what to do with them? The one are plugged into each other. The ones on next to the radiator must have been for the points and there doesnt seem to be any power to them, I guess just take off the relay and tape up the leads. Thansk for any input.

    WTF is this!

thanks, datto510, I think the car used to be automatic. There is power to the part in the first pic when the key is on. I will try unplugging the parking lights and see if anything happens. I didnt think there is relay for the parking lights. I know its not the horn relay or headlights, I found that. I thought the one of them could be for automatic choke.

It has one black and on color wire with a stripe. The pump also has two differnt size post for the wire to attach. I am updating my fuel tank, new fuel feed and return lines. Thanks mike
