I am contemplating buying a 1979 Datsun 4x4 pick up .....that has an auto trainee in it....Will the 4 speed trainee from a 71 240Z drop "right in??

I still have my 1978 F10 "SportWagon" and am fix'in to put new tires on it! The "book" says to run 155SR13 and those are the "bicycle" tires that are on the car now.....155's seem to be real hard to find and the "book" also says that "ON THE HATCHBACK" one can run165/70 13...Will the 165/70 13's work on the "SportWagon"?? Has anyone ever run them and if so...how did they work? There doesn't seem to be much room inside of the wheel well.....? Ideas? Suggestions?

Just an update on my 78 F10 Sportwagon:.........FINALLY !!! found an inside drivers side door handle ( NO more rolling down the window and useing the outside handle to open my door) ,found it in Oregon and found an F10 wheel from a wheel place in Tucson! Still NEED an intact heater control unit and FINALLY....found a Datsun part # ( 65804-M3208) for the "Hood Moulding" for the leading edge of my hood!! SLOWLY but surely! Patience GrassHopper Patience!!

So...Eh....any kind of decicion on a Colorado Datsun owners group/club/gang.....We could all get "303" tat's??

"U-pull and pay" in Denver, A NICE 1978 210, Fairly COMPLETE,nice...tan interior. Just looked at the door handles ( inside) and they're the wrong ones for my F10~ Oh well,just hafta keep lookin!

Do any of you guys live near this "South" wrecking yard....and....gonna be headin out there any time soon??

Forgive my ignorance....Y'all keep useing the word "Goon"...What exactly is a "Goon"?? I already own a 78 F10 "Sportwagon" ( Blue, just like the one in the pic!) and am in need of some small parts!! I'd sure be interested in talk'in to whoever owns that wagon as to buy'in some parts off it....should it become a parts car!

I too have a F10 Sportwagon and if I can ever figure out how to put pics on here...I will do so! Mine is BLUE with a beat to shit white vinyle top! Runs GREAT ( 130K ACTUAL) and finding parts is a BEAR!! I need a couple of small items to make it "perfect", just found a wheel so that I'll have a spare! They seem to have a lot of them in England and they call them Cherry's! Send me an email and I'll give you my ph# so's we can compare notes! Fun lil car!!

The dash looks pretty much the same cept the "idiot lights" ( on the extreme right in your pic!) and the tach are reversed in my 78 wagon! Speaking of the word idiot...I can't figure out how to post pics on this site....need'in some OJT ( military term for : On The Job Training! )

PS What are you doin with your F10?????

THANKS Len! I just sent Mike a msg...we'll see! F10 parts are sure hard to find ! I would "assume" that some 310 and 210 parts might be interchangeable??

I did finally buy that grill from Seattle! NOW.... I need to find a tach that will fit it "dash hole" ,an inside door handle and a few other small parts and i'll be doin just fine.

I would sure like to find a /the tachometer that fits into the "space" on the dash and I also need an inside 'door handle/lock" ( plastic part,driver door) for my 1978 SportWagon / Cherry Estate ! Any ideas?

Me too,LOVE the lil car! Cept, at 6'3" and 330 Lbs...i look like a monkey screwin a football while in it! Drive it to work and she costs me $27.00 every 2 weeks for gas! Runs real sweet too! You don't happen to have a parts car layin around...or know where theres one at?

Figured I'de post another post on parts for the F10 that I bought. Not havin any luck findin any F10's in Colorado,maybe I'll ge lucky here? PS Just picked up both the MITCHELL and HOLLANDER "Interchanger" books...BIG books! 82 and before!

If you were to go to DENVER craigslist,under "Datsun", I do believe that there is a guy that has a pair of carbs fr sale??? Might be worth a shot?

Well..well...well... ! I think that I will be feelin right at home with this bunch! Would love to find a set of the clear "plexiglass" headlight covers and a set of the rear 1/4 window "louvers" for my 71 Z car ! And Yes...i do still believe in Santa!

Looks like this is gonna be a fun site! I have my 71Z that was my "survival present" when I got home from Da Nam! Figured if the "little people" ( no offense meant!) didn't kill me...I'd buy one of their cars! ( NY Humor!) Had my Z ever since and recently acquired a 1978 F10 Sport Wagon! Will soon be lookin for a 2000 Roadster to round out my DATSUN collection ! Just got rid of a couple of my Chevies ( still have quite a few GM products ) and will just need that 2000 and I'll be set till I make that "last deployment"! Hope to visit and meet some of Y'all in time!
