sdsurf
Does anyone have a picture and location of all the stock vacuum hoses coming off a stock 1972 521 air cleaner? I have all the hoses attached to the air cleaner but not sure where they go on the engine Thanks this one basically: Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
On the '72, (as in the picture) the black tube from the air snorkel vacuum motor goes to the air filter body where it connects to the temp sensor mounted inside the air filter. The vacuum input hose goes from it down to the intake just below the carb. The sensor varies the vacuum to the vacuum motor to open and close it to regulate the warmed air. Some models have an idle compensator temp sensor, also mounted inside the air filter with a vacuum supply hose connected to the other hose with a 'T'. Quote Link to comment
sdsurf
In the photos where to "A" and "B" go... Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
A and B should join at the T fitting and then connect to manifold vacuum. Anywhere is fine, but the fitting for it should be on the intake just below the carb on driver's side. Quote Link to comment
